    Ralph R. Runnalls, 62 died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Newton Medical Center. Mr. Runnalls, son of the late Herbert and Jesse (Smith) Runnalls was born in Sussex, NJ February 3, 1955. He grew up in Hamburg and has resided in the Lake Neepaulin section of Wantage since 1995.
    Mr. Runnalls is a Retired Staff Sgt. from the United States Air Force. He is a desert storm veteran and had served from September 1974 until his retirement March 1994. From August 1989 through January 1994 he served with NATO. Throughout his career, he received the following decorations and awards: Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon as well as the Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, NCO Professional Military Education Graduation Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon and the Air Force Training Ribbon.
    Mr. Runnalls was predeceased by a daughter, Lorie Runnalls in 2009. He is survived by his wife Ina (Hendershot) Runnalls; children, Kim Runnalls and her fiance Robert Van Wyck of Wantage and Michael Runnalls and his fiancé Julie Parken of Dingman’s Ferry, Pa.; grandchildren, Deszaray Runnalls, Wyatt Van Wyck, Jordyn Runnalls, Peyton Runnalls, Caden Bandelt, Gwendolyn Van Wyck and Gracey Van Wyck. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Roger Runnalls of Sussex and Susan Ruth of N.J.
    Private cremation services have been entrusted to Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third St. Sussex.
