NEWTON — Many times, people don’t know where to turn for help when they may be experiencing problems with substance use or are struggling because of a loved one’s drug use.
In Sussex County, The Center for Prevention and Counseling has been a local resource for over 40 years to individuals, their families and loved ones facing addiction. The Center has a very experienced, understanding and caring staff along with a group of dedicated volunteers ready to assist people with information for those facing addiction themselves or distraught over trying to help a loved one.
On Monday, April 10, 2017, at The Center’s satellite office located at 65 Newton-Sparta Road, you are invited from 4-6 p.m. to get information for yourself, a friend or loved one.
At this free, confidential and supportive drop-in event, you will be able to talk to trained recovery volunteers and staff, including a licensed clinician, ready to help you with your individual circumstances. Screening for participation in the C.L.E.A.R. Program also will be available. Learn about treatment, support — even online recovery resources, and walk away with hope and a plan.
Everyone is welcome to attend and no RSVP is necessary. Coffee, and light refreshments will be available. Drop in and see how you can find recovery for yourself or for a loved one. For more information, contact Katie at Katie@centerforprevention.org or (973)383-4787 Ext.222.
