| 27 Feb 2017 | 01:02

The Skylands Dulcimer String Band will bring their eclectic mix of music — from traditional and Celtic to classical and modern — to the Sussex-Wantage Library’s community room on Sunday, March 19, at 2 p.m.
This free concert is brought to you by the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library.
Free tickets for the concert will be available at the library beginning on Saturday, March 4. Stop by and pick up your tickets or call the library at 973-875-3940 and ask for tickets to be set aside in your name.
The seven musicians in the Skylands Dulcimer String Band play a variety of instruments. Depending on the tune, you may hear a combination of four hammered dulcimers, two mountain dulcimers, acoustic and bass guitars, mandolin and Bodhrán (Celtic drum). The performers will explain the origins of different dulcimers — some originating from the hills of Appalachia, others from 15th century Europe and the Middle East.
This program is for all ages. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
