Center plans sober celebration

    NEWTON — Join friends and allies of recovery on Friday, March 17, 2017 for a Sober St. Patrick’s Day Party and Open Mic Night.
    This free event, by The Center for Prevention and Counseling and The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of New Jersey, offers a way to celebrate without alcohol. You are invited to enjoy music and dinner with family and friends of all ages from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Center, 65 Newton-Sparta Road in Newton.
    People in recovery, their family members and other supporters have been meeting in the county to help plan community events that support and promote recovery and anyone interested is welcome to come and learn more. Please RSVP for more information and/or to perform in the Open Mic event.
    Meet up with others who enjoy themselves without the use of alcohol or other drugs for a fun, family friendly celebration.
