In a continuous effort to be more involved in the communities it serves, Willowglen Academy has announced the availability of its Jean M. Manfra School Scholarship (JMMS Scholarship).
The annual scholarship will be offered to Sussex County graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree in the social services and special education fields.
Students enrolling in college classes for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters must complete and submit the JMMS Scholarship with two letters of recommendation to be considered for the $1000 scholarship, which can be used to help to cover the cost of room and board, tuition fees or books.
Interested students may contact their school guidance office or request an application from Willowglen Academy by sending an email to info@willowglen-nj.com. Applications for this year’s graduating class are being accepted until by May 1, 2017. Scholarship winner will be notified by June 1.
The Jean M. Manfra School is one of two approved private special education schools operated by Willowglen in Sussex County. In operation since 1987, this will be the second year that Willowglen Academy offers scholarships to students in the community. Additionally, it currently offers up to $15,000 in scholarship money every year to its employees.
