William Joseph Norman

William Joseph Norman, 72 years old, died after a short illness at Fountainview Care Center, Lakewood, N.J., on Monday, March 6, 2017. Born to Raymond and Marie Norman in Bayonne, N.J., he lived there before moving to Toms River, N.J., in 2005.
William worked as a design engineer for Verizon for many years retiring in 2002. He was also an accomplished handyman, avid gardener and doting grandfather.
William was the beloved husband for 30 years of Judith Norman(nee Dean) of Toms River, NJ. Devoted father of Jenifer Thoma and her husband, Daniel of Vernon Twp., NJ. and sister in law of Barbara Dean of Bergenfield, NJ. Loving grandfather of Heather, Danielle, Alicen, Stephanie, Viviana, Dahlia and Michaela and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be April 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ. Repast to follow at Milano’s Restaurant, 3673 Route 94, Hamburg, NJ at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts to The ARC of Bergen & Passaic, 223 Moore Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
