Vernon schools closed Wednesday

The Vernon Township School District is closed on Wednesday, March 15.

Due to the snow storm, the municipal building, recycling center and municipal court will be closed today.
Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency, but Hamburg police said there was no travel ban at this time.
At about 2 a.m. Tuesday, County Sheriff Michael Estrada activated the county Emergency Management Operations Center.
All County Government offices are closed. All Sussex County public schools have been closed.
Officials said due to the speed at which the snow is falling, already plowed roadways may be unsafe to drive on shortly after being cleared. Residents are encouraged to remain in their homes and refrain from driving unless absolutely necessary.
Snow accumulations could be up to 24 inches.
