SPARTA — Last Wednesday, evening was the eagerly anticipated K.E.E.P. Kamikaze Cookoff. The annual fundraising event is held to help support the programs of K.E.E.P., Inc, Sussex County’s largest non-profit child care provider.
Byram Township’s Hulaloo Restaurant was the venue and provided delicious food prepared by professional hibachi chefs ably assisted by volunteer chefs from each table. Executive Director Christine Milligan says, “The Cookoff is always a really fun night. People love being able to help with the cooking and the chefs are great entertainers, wowing us with their expertise and teasing us with tossing tempting morsels to us.”
Milligan continued, “Its a great way to have a fun night out and to help the children of Sussex County. The proceeds help support our programs. We are dedicated to providing affordable, professional, educational care to children from ages six weeks to thirteen years of age. With the help of our fundraisers we are able to keep our tuition rates affordable and to provide unlimited financial assistance to all qualified families.”
