SUSSEX BOROUGH — With winter slowing winding down, and snow fall recently upon Sussex County, it is time to sprinkle some Spring pixie dust, and join the boy who never grew up as he whisks you away to Neverland in a magical adventure of a lifetime during the Disney’s version of Peter Pan, JR which takes place at the Sussex Middle School Auditorium on Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. and a special matinee performance on Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m. You will likely come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, and a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook. Broadway Jr’s.

Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. is based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's enchanting play Peter Pan, which has been revived on Broadway several times.

Peter Pan is the tale about a boy who will not grow up, and together with members of the Darling Family, Wendy. Michael and John, fly to Neverland. Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians, and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook. It’s Peter to the rescue when Wendy is taken captive by the dreaded captain, who has his own sinister plans in mind for our hero. The famous Disney’s pixie Tinkerbell and her fellow fairies also join in on the adventure and get into trouble,

The Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. score includes You Can Fly, Fly to Your Heart, The Second Star to the Right, Following the Leader, Never Smile at a Crocodile, and the famous, You Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me, which is the theme song for one of the most beloved rides at Disney World.

This year marks the seventh SMS musical directed by teachers Leslie Brooks and Kerri Freda. Last year, the pair directed Disney’s The Lion King, Jr., which was sold out during the three performances.

The SMS Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. cast includes: Clayton Cole as Peter Pan, Isa Buchell as Tinkerbell, Kayla Diee as Wendy, Kyle Cairns as John, Trevor Ranzan as Michael, Sean Margarum as Mr. Darling, Breanna Stigler as Mrs. Darling, Robert Juliano as Captain Hook, Lillian Pantel as Smee, Donald Davis as Nana, Noah Towler as Chief Bamboo, Tatayanna Kanuaido as Tiger Lily, Luke Lungren as the Crocodile, Hope Margarum as Rosetta, Kierra Hubmaster as Vidia, Kaitlyn Poust as Silvermist, Eliza Lauver as Iridessa, Cloey Yanecko as Lyria, Kylie Gough as Fawn, and a cast of 5th to 8th graders as Pirates, Lost Boys, Indians and Mermaids.
