Bernadyne Houghtaling

Bernadyne Houghtaling, 93 died Tuesday March 14, 2017, at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp. Mrs. Houghtaling, daughter of the late Oscar and Mildred (Kishpaugh) Beemer was born in Hamburg December 3, 1923. She resided for most of her life in Hamburg and most recently with her daughter, Judy Decker in Vernon. While growing up she spent her summers with her family at Lake Grinnell.
Mrs. Houghtaling graduated from Hamburg High School. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Houghtaling was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Linn Houghtaling in 1993. She was also predeceased by a sister and 3 brothers, Gladys South, W.D. Beemer, Oscar Beemer, Jr. and Clifford Beemer. Mrs. Houghtaling is survived by her devoted children, Judy Decker & her husband Dean of Vernon, Gail Smith of Vernon and Jerry Houghtaling & his wife Linda of Branchville; her loving 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as her cherished nieces and nephews.
