William P. Lawrence, Jr., age 54, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his residence in Newton. Born in Frostburg, Maryland, Bill had lived in Sussex before moving to Newton three years ago. He had been employed as a tree service technician for Nelson Tree Service before he retired and had been a member of the V.F.W. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Lawrence; his grandfather, William P. Lawrence, and his step-mother, Barbara Lawrence. He is
survived by his faithful companion, Duke; his son, Thomas W. Paterson, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Sussex; his mother, Sandra Lynn Lawrence of Painesville, Ohio; his father, William P. Lawrence, Sr. of Bronston, Kentucky; his brother, Edward Lawrence and his wife Laura of Fairport, Ohio; his sister, Margaret (Peg) Styndle and her husband Dale of Perry, Ohio; his grandchildren, Logan, Bryan, Josh, and Larissa; his nieces, Brittney Lawrence and Halle Styndl and Katrina Young. Graveside services of Bill’s ashes will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, Route 284 in Wantage. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
