Accolades to the Veterans Administration

In these times of negative news stories and pointless, boring political rhetoric, it is so refreshing to welcome the VA Clinic in the Norman Silbert Medical Arts Building on 222 High St. in Newton.
I just had a complete physical from head to toe during my first visit to the clinic. The staff there are so efficient, caring and treated me in a most professional manor. Many thanks to Dr. Gabriela E. Popescu, as well as nurses: Shirley Lacaden-Pegollo and Rosemary Garrison for their excellent treatment.
The opening of this clinic was made possible by the Warren/Sussex Veterans Coalition and the VA Secretary who spent 26 months of tireless work to bring this to fruition.
Also, we are grateful to our public officials: Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, Cory Booker, Scott Garrett, Jeff Parrott, Gary Chiusano, Michael Strada, and Steven Oroho. I am sure there were many more who were instrumental in getting this clinic open.
I encourage all Veterans in our area to consider taking advantage of this local clinic instead of traveling out of the county . The professionals here help us, direct us and most of all respect us.
