FRANKLIN — Westys Gymnastics hosted a gathering of regional gymnasts from the tri-state area on Sunday, March 26.
Gymnastics enthusiasts enjoyed several hours of choreographed routines.
The event is a Gymnastics Athletic Program (GAP) presentation.
The Gymnastics Athletic Program is a league, created by Westys owner Danielle Oehrlich, which allows all beginner gymnasts to learn routines and obtain new skills at their own pace. It also allows the gymnast to participate in a low key competition setting where their only goal is to obtain the best score they can and improve on their individual score from the last time they participated.
Gymnasts receive a score ranging from first to fifth place alongside others who have obtained the same scores.
Gymnastics Inc. of Kenvil, New Jersey and North Stars Gymnastics of Boonton, New Jersey were among several visiting teams who participated.
Westys Gymnastics website address is http://www.westysgym.us/ for those interested in possible enrollment or keeping up with upcoming events.
