— Orange County’s new Healthy Orange website, www.healthyorange.com, is now live.
The user-friendly website will further promote the diverse array of information available to users via Healthy Orange.
“The innovative Healthy Orange website is a great resource for residents and promotes a healthy lifestyle for residents in Orange County through outreach, education and advocacy,” County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus said in a press release announcing the website.
The new Healthy Orange website is a visually appealing, user-friendly website that is also responsive, which allows the website to be automatically re-sized dependent on the device it is viewed on, such as mobile phones and tablets.
Some of the new and easy to navigate features include a Health Topics section which incorporates fact sheets and videos as well as a Calendar of Events section which will be updated regularly. Other features include Worksite Wellness, Teen Health, Farmers’ Markets and a tobacco-free lifestyle.
“The Healthy Orange website highlights some of the many programs the Department of Health offers, as well as the Community Health Outreach division’s resources, and how they all work to benefit the residents and employees of Orange County,” said Dr. Eli Avila, Orange County’s commissioner of health.
Healthy Orange is a coalition of agencies working together to address the problem of childhood obesity and other health-related issues. The mission of the Healthy Orange Team is to promote a healthy lifestyle for children and families in Orange County through education, communication, collaboration, advocacy and policy change.
