The Columbiettes of St. Francis de Sales Church sponsored an early Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 7, benefitting the expectant mothers of Birth Haven in Newton.
Birth Haven, established in 1985, a non-profit, independent, nonsectarian organization providing shelter, education and support to homeless, pregnant women and girls.
Columbiette President Janet Tussey was amazed at the outpouring of donations of baby items and necessities by the tea party participants.
