Bruce A. Leyland

Bruce A. Leyland, 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Compassionate Care Hospice Care, Dover, N.J., Bruce was born in Teaneck, N.J., on May 2, 1951, to the late Alfred and Winifred (nee Stout) Leyland. Bruce has been a resident of Highland Lakes since 1980.
Bruce was a Lineman for the N.J. Transit Railroad for 41 years retiring in 2011. Bruce enjoyed gardening and chopping wood. He had a great interest in lighthouses and trains.
Bruce was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie, in 2000 and a grandson Trevor Bebej in 2005.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Santangelo and her husband “Mr. Ron” of Lake Hopatcong and Holly Bebej and her husband Bryan of Joliet, Ill, and a grandson Wyatte Bebej, and his siblings, Carolyn Leyland of Spring Valley, N.Y., and Alan Leyland and his wife Suzi of Mahwah.
Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to time of services at 10 a.m. at the Ferguson–Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Court).
