Wanderers club holds food drive

SUSSEX — For 20 years the Wanderers Car Club has held a Food Drive and Car Show, in the area that is presently the Acme shopping plaza, at the entrance to the Acme Market building.
For the last four years they have held the drives twice a year to fulfill the extra demand.
During those 20 years the club has collected from generous community members a Food Drive average of twenty one shopping carts full of non perishable groceries to stock the shelves of the Sussex Help Center Food Pantry. Recently, they tallied the approximate total of all their efforts. In 20 years, the Wanderers Car Club in the rain or sunshine have collected 504 full shopping carts of non perishable foods.
