U.S. Open mountain biking returns to Mountain Creek

VERNON — The US OPEN of Mountain Biking returns to the trails of Mountain Creek Bike Park in Vernon this Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-28, 2017.
The US OPEN began in 2003 and quickly became one of the most prestigious races on the annual calendar.
Past winners include multiple world champions and numerous stars of the UCI World Cup stage.
The U.S. Open is know for its unique open format which allows for aspiring pros to test themselves on the same race course against the top athletes in the sport. The event is also known for being one of the most family friendly races on the calendar.
From live bands and DJs blasting music on course, to free movie screenings, face painting and numerous kid-focused events, the U.S. Open is always full of energy and excitement on both sides of the course tape. This year's event will be no exception.
New for 2017 is the addition of the U.S. Kids Open. The Grom-Bomb downhill race will feature a separate course that caters specifically to young rippers.
