Boy Scouts participate in West Point camporee

VERNON — The Boy Scout Troop of 912 was honored to participate along with over 6,000 boy and girl scouts and venturing crews at the 55th West Point Invitational Camporee.
Mainly run by the West Point Cadets, the troop competed in various events — testing their physical and mental skills, as well as, their skills in leadership and building.
A great time was had by all trudging through the saturated muddy fields, hiking the mountains, and appreciating all that our military troops endure.
