The Vernon Township Historical Society recently hosted a photo contest that attracted work from amateur and professional photographers, featuring subjects from nature to architecture, from people to fine art.
The photography exhibit, sponsored by the Historical Society in cooperation with the Vernon Township High School photography department and their teacher, Terry Sabia, was on display at the Vernon Senior Citizens Center in early May.
The winners were all Vernon Township High school students: Megan McCann, first place; Carly Czifra, second; and Amber Revelant, third.
The Vernon Township Historical Society is a non-profit organization that raises funds for its various presentations and programs that are free to the public: scholarships, hands-on workshops, summer camps, and other events.
