Edwin M. Robinson, 99, of Washington Township passed away Monday May 8, 2017, at The Armenian Nursing Home in Emerson, New Jersey, with his family at his side. He was born on April 25, 1918 in Oak Park, Ill., to the late Amanda Bartholomew & Edwin M. Robinson. Edwin grew up in West Roxbury, MA, where he attended English High School and graduated from Boston University.
He worked for Lever Brothers for 43 years before retiring from the Corporate Headquarters in New York City.
Edwin served his country during World War II in Europe with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wanda (Ziegel), three daughters, Linda Ready and her husband, Jon, of Pointe Vedra Beach, Fla., Marsha Huber of Florham Park, NJ, and Janice and her husband, Volkmar, of Highland Lakes, N.J. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; Becky, Joe, Kevin and Chantal as well as four great-grandchildren; Emma, Arlo, William and Bram.
Edwin was predeceased by his first wife, Helen, their infant daughter, his sister Helen, and his brother, Wallace.
A private burial was performed with military honors at The Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
