Camping adds to festival experience

AUGUSTA — When the Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival says you can party for the weekend, they mean the entire weekend.
Presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, this 8th annual summer bash features two days of great music by some of the biggest names in Southern rock including Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels and mouthwatering barbecue served up by top pitmasters from around the country at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ from June 24-25, 2017.
Festival-goers looking to stay overnight have the option of camping out throughout the weekend just a short three-minute walk from the festival area at the Fairgrounds. They will also receive exclusive campers-only, after-hours concerts by The Steppin’ Stones and Old Man Skynnyr on the main stage.
“Camping out or sleeping in your RV is a great way for outdoor lovers to make the most out of their weekend here, you never have to leave the Fairgrounds,” said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman of Promo 1. “It’s also a cost efficient way to enjoy a truly amazing festival experience.”
The legendary Charlie Daniels Band, Blackberry Smoke, Marshall Tucker Band, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet and the Kentucky Headhunters head a lineup of nine bands that will perform over the weekend. Competitive rib teams will vie for thousands of dollars in prize money in a juried rib cook-off and the coveted titles of “Best Ribs,” “Best Sauce,” and “Weis Markets People’s Choice.”
The General Admission Weekend Pass with Camping includes up to three nights of camping, access to the festival both days, access to campers-only concerts on the main stage by Old Man Skynnyr on Friday night and by The Steppin’ Stones on Saturday night, an after-concert bonfire on Friday night, and overnight access each night to restrooms and hot and cold showers.
