Mark J. Verrico, 52, passed away on Thursday July 6, 2017. Mark was born on July 20, 1964 in Belleville, NJ to Mario and Evelyn (nee Pisano) Verrico. Mark graduated Passaic Valley High School, attended William Patterson University, and has been a resident of Highland Lakes since 1996.
Mark’s first and only job was at Shop Rite in Little Falls. He started there as an after school job 37 years ago and became a Department Manager. Mark volunteered for the Vernon Township Girls Softball organization with his two daughters, coaching since 2006. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He loved all sports, was a fan of the Yankees and Giants, and the biggest fan of Alabama football. But most importantly Mark was a family man. He was the most devoted and loving father anyone could ever ask for. Mark lived his life as the strongest role model his family and his town could have. If anyone in the world could be deemed a superhero, it would undoubtedly be Mark.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Mario Verrico in 1999 and a brother Steven Verrico in 1995.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Kathleen (nee Bannon) Verrico, and his devoted daughters, Lindsay and Kristin, both at home, and his mother, Evelyn (nee Pisano) Verrico of Hardyston Township.
