Library to sponsor a drum circle

| 10 Jul 2017 | 01:10

The Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library will sponsor a Drum Circle on Saturday, July 22, from 2-4 p.m. in the library’s community room.
Facilitator David Karlberg will bring about a dozen drums and lead the group in different musical beats – including Native American, African and Caribbean. The audience will take turns playing in the drum circle, and anyone who has a drum can bring it along. Playing in a drumming circle requires no musical ability. Playing drums with your hands, getting into a groove with the rest of the group, can be therapeutic, hypnotic, or just plain fun.
This free program is for all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up online at sussexcountylibrary.org (events calendar), or call the Sussex-Wantage Library at 973-875-3940 and ask to be registered.
