Franklin man is charged with narcotics possession, distribution

    George A. Coursen, 71, of Franklin, was arrested by Franklin police following an investigation of narcotics distribution from within the Borough of Franklin.
    Coursen has been charged on multiple counts of possesion of heroin and distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school (Franklin and Hardyston schools) and within 500 feet of the Franklin Pond and recreation area.
    Following the execution of a search warrant, Coursen is alleged to have been in possession of an undisclosed amount of heroin ready and packaged for sale.
    An undisclosed amount of money and a vehicle were seized during the investigation.
    The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests may follow, according to Franklin police.
