Project Help seeks artists

Project Help is calling Artists to participate in “Visions in Black & White” art show and auction.
Project Help, a nonprofit organization, is hosting its signature fundraiser, “Visions in Black & White.” This event is an art show and auction that will take place on Nov. 2.
“Visions in Black & White” will consist of framed art that portrays patriotism done in black and white (grayscale). The art, in the form of photography, painting, sketch, charcoal or any farmable art, is welcome in the show. Art is now being accepted in digital format for selection.
The artists should have some lineage to a military person, directly or through marriage, even if it goes as far back as far as the Revolutionary War. No lineage, no worries, said Sandy Mitchell, executive director of Project Help. Others are invited to participate. However, the share of proceeds is different.
All art must submitted in digital format to start the process. It will all get uploaded to the bidding website beginning in August, and all of the art will be able to be bid on. From there, certain pieces will be selected for the silent auction and the live auction at the “Visions in Black & White” event on Nov. 2.
Artists will be paid a percentage of the sale no matter where it is sold. The rest will go to Project Help to support its “Hardship Grant Fund” and to support the “Mobile Closet” and job readiness project.
“We want to honor our military, veterans and artists at this event and online auction by promoting their talent, sharing their bio and raising funds to help our veterans during difficult times”, said Mitchell.
Artists can download the prospectus from www.projecthelp.us/events.html or by sending an email to Sandy@mitchellclan . It will be sent directly to the artists who are interested in being part of this event. Artists should submit their completed prospectus as soon as possible to hold a spot in the show/auction.
Sponsorship is still available, and more information about being a sponsor is available by contacting Sandy@mitchellclan.com or 973-875-2068.
