Boy Scouts to honor bank president

ANDOVER — The Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council will be honoring Anthony Labozzetta, President and chief executive officer EO, Sussex Bank with the 36th Annual Distinguished Citizen Award on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Perona Farms in Andover for serving as exemplary role models for the youth of our area.
The award dinner chairs are John Drake, Director of Client Services, Sussex County Economic Development Partnership, Inc. and Edward J. Leppert, Chairman of the Board, Sussex Bank.
Anthony Labozzetta is an experienced banking executive with more than 25 years of involvement in the New Jersey and New York marketplace. Mr. Labozzetta assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Sussex Bancorp (NASDAQ: SBBX) in February of 2010. In the past six years, Mr. Labozzetta has led Sussex Bank into one of the fastest growing commercial banks in the region. Along with his staff, he has instilled a culture of teamwork, excellence, shareholder value and high ethical standards by fostering an environment where these guiding principles are the foundation of Sussex Bank.
In 2016, Sussex Bank earned the honor of being named one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies by NJBIZ Magazine, and was the highest ranked bank on the list. The bank currently has 11 branches in New Jersey and New York. In addition, Mr. Labozzetta was recognized by American Banker as one of their 2016 Community Banker of the Year award recipients.
Tony is the Chairman of Sussex Bank’s SB Foundation Inc., which was organized for philanthropic endeavors. The charter of the SB Foundation is to conduct fundraising activities, in addition to accepting voluntary contributions, to provide support to philanthropic, benevolent, public health and social welfare organizations that make a positive impact on the communities we serve. Mr. Labozzetta is also an active member of the community and serves on various boards. He serves as a member of the board of Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children and the Morris County Economic Development Corporation. He is also Vice-President/Treasurer of the Arcola Country Club and was recently elected to a fourth term serving on the New Jersey Bankers Association Board of Directors.
Through the Sussex County 36th Annual Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner, funds will be raised to support the mission of the Boy Scouts of America: “…to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and in other ways to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetimes in achieving their full potential.” For his outstanding example to youth in their community, the Boy Scouts of America salute Anthony Labozzetta with the 36th Annual Sussex County Distinguished Citizen Award.
