Kevin R. Conklin

Kevin R. Conklin, 51, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, following a valiant battle with a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Sussex County, residing in Wantage since 1990. A graduate of Sussex Vo-Tech, class of 1984, Kevin was proud of his 30 years of service as an Operating Engineer with IUOE Local 825 working in New Jersey and New York. Most of all he loved being with his wife, watching his children compete in their sports, searching for sand-dollars with Morgan, going to tractor pulls with Jacob, riding his Harley, family vacations and washing his black Ford pickup. He also enjoyed fishing, yard work, the Yankees and loved every dog that was ever his companion.
Kevin was predeceased by his loving grandparents Ted and Doris Decker of Vernon. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Tracy (nee Kocher) Conklin of 27 years, his cherished children Morgan and Jacob, his in-laws Nancy and Bob Kocher, brother-in-law Ross Kocher and his wife Patty, adored niece and nephew Jaimie and Trevor Kocher, sister-in-law Amy Kocher, uncle Dean and aunt Judy Decker, and his cousins. He is also survived by Jack the Kocher-Conklin family black lab.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday Sept. 1, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ, services on Saturday, Sept 2nd at 10am at the funeral home. Cremation service private. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Conklin Children's Education Fund, Lakeland Bank, 455 Route 23 N, Wantage, NJ 07461 or to the Local 825 Scholarship Fund, 65 Springfield Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081 would be sincerely appreciated.
