Theresa Gerstmann Crowell

    Theresa Gerstmann Crowell of Port Jervis, N.Y., died on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at her home after a short illness. She was 61.
    Daughter of the late Ronald J. Gerstmann and Leona R. Wesolowski Gerstmann, she was born on June 28, 1956, in Sussex, N.J.
    She was a 1974 graduate of High Point Regional High School. She continued her education at Glassboro College, Glassboro, N.J., where she earned a degree in early child development. She was also a graduate of C.H.U.B. Institute. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
    Survivors include her loving companion, Danny Ashe, at home; daughter, Stephanie Alster and her husband, Gregory, of Port Jervis; son, Mark Alster and his fiancé, Kyra, of Port Jervis; mother, Leona Gerstmann of Sussex, N.J.; brothers, Walt Gerstmann and his wife, Sue, of Greeley, Pa., and Ronald Gertsmann of Sussex, N.J.; grandson, Greg Jr.; uncles, Walter Wesolowski of Virginia Beach, Va,, and Leon Wesolowski of Olean, N.Y.; and a special friend, Michael Pugliese.
    Visitation and funeral services were held Aug. 29 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. The Rev. Joseph Biliyock officiated. Interment took place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, N.J.
