Perry R. Bush, age 88, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hamburg to the late Charles P. and Mary E. (Struble) Bush, Perry graduated from Hamburg High School, where he played baseball. After high school, he continued to play baseball as a catcher for the Franklin Miners. Mr. Bush enthusiastically supported youth athletics and enjoyed attending various sports functions to watch his children and then in his later years, his grandchildren participate in. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and bowler. Mr. Bush enjoyed vacationing at his house in Canada for many years. He had been the deputy Game Warden of Sussex County and retired from Metal Tech in Franklin approximately 17 years ago. He was predeceased by his first wife of 52 years, Doris Bush on July 1, 2004; all of his siblings, Helen Bolthousing, Margaret King, Frances Regino, Edith Valecz, Beatrice Yanish, and Roger Bush; and his son-in-laws, Billy Martin and Steven Sutton. Mr. Bush is survived by his wife of 11 years, Charleen; his daughters, Deborah Martin of Rogersville, TN, Cynthia Dutton and her husband Stewart of Pennsville, and Laurie Sutton of Stillwater; his step-children, Susan Geimer and her husband Brian of Hampton and Michael Greenwood and his wife, Shannon, of Hampton; his grandchildren, Perry Martin and his wife, Ashley, Jessica Esposito and her husband Steve, Philip Rowe and his wife, Marisa, Steven Sutton and his wife Casey, Stacey Monahan and her husband, Travis; his step-grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Geimer and Trevor, Brielle, and Sydney Greenwood; his great grandchildren, Katie and William Martin, Aubrey and Bennett Esposito, Winter Rowe, Nathan and Kellen Sutton, and Keegan and Wyatt Monahan; and his nephews, Mark LaBar and his wife Dianne and their children, Nicholas and Sophia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment to follow at Stillwater Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
