Local resident to compete in Miss New Jersey Teen USA pageant

Baylee Bosma, age 15, of Vernon will compete for the title of Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2018 on Oct. 13-15, 2017, at the Hilton Hotel in Parsippany.
Baylee attends Vernon Township High School where she is a member of the Student Council and National Thespian Society. Her other activities include singing, acting, dancing and playing guitar, violin and ukulele. Over the past 5 summers, Baylee volunteered as a Junior Crew Leader at the Vernon United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School and currently volunteers for Pet ResQ, Inc. by caring for dogs who were displaced by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
As part of a Humanitarian Service Award, the Miss New Jersey Teen USA pageant has partnered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New Jersey and are organizing a coat drive for people in need in NJ. Anyone interested in donating coats through Baylee may drop them off at the office of Boz Electrical Contractors, located at 6 Warren Drive, Vernon (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.).
The Miss Teen New Jersey and Miss Teen USA pageants are the Official Preliminaries to the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and MISS Universe pageants and are proud to be the newest member of the WME/IMG Family. The young woman chosen as Miss New Jersey Teen USA will go on to represent the state of New Jersey in the 2018 Miss Teen USA pageant and spend her year as a teen ambassador.
