Project Help, Inc., a 501(c)3 Charity, incorporated in Sussex NJ will host “Visions in Black and White” art show/auction on November 2, 2017. This grass roots, all volunteer organization has one mission and that is to help Veterans and their families during difficult times. They cover the seven northern counties of New Jersey assisting Veterans in putting their lives back together.
“Visions in Black and White” art show and auction will be held at the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack, NJ from 6 – 10pm. The venue is luxurious, their food and service is amazing and it’s easy to get to.
A silent and live auction are part of the experience. The Auctioneer is a Vietnam Veteran from West Milford and is donating his service to the event.
Many wonderful works of art have been submitted … all done in black and white and much submitted by veterans who have seen combat. There is a level of therapy in art and helps them with issues like PTSD. Many are professionals and support themselves and their families doing this art.
Just a few of the local artists whose works are part of this fundraiser are Harmon Kaplan, Joe Hicks and Christian Betancourt. Chris is a young Army combat vet.
When you look deeply into the art done in black and white, there is so much more there and you can actually connect to what the artist had in mind. It is dramatic and soothing and speaks of America in some way.
The artists are sharing in the auction proceeds and there is no cost to submit art. The Prospectus is available by contacting Project Help.
If art is not your thing, there will be 5 wonderful vacations up for auction, gift certificates for dinner out, cooking classes gift baskets with a variety of goodies.
For more fun, another veteran-owned business will be onsite to add to the fun. He will bring to the party his new Reflections Photo booth…which is no like any photo booth you’ve seen before.
Tickets are on sale at Https://projecthelp.networkforgood.com/events/2255 and 50% of the ticket price is tax deductible. Artists and Sponsors are still needed and if interested, contact Sandy@mitchellclan.com or call Project Help at 973-875-2068. Deadline for art is Oct. 15.
