VERNON — Vernon Township High School senior Zoe Heath (center) was honored as a Teen to Watch at the annual Girls World Expo held in Goshen recently.
As an object of bullying because she is gay, Zoe has gotten her “revenge” by advocating for broad social and economic justice issues, as well as LGBTQ rights, starting the high school’s first Gay-Straight alliance group.
She is a fixture at school board meetings and saved her own money to attend a Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C.
