Vernon Robotics team goes to Warwick

This past month, Vernon Viking Robotics braved the elements to share their robot with the Warwick Farmer’s Market.
Partnered with their neighbors, Warwick Robotics, students shared the robot, information about the program and raised funds for this season. The day was led by seniors Juliana Schlicting and Alyssa Koehler, with Stephanie Demanthis rounding out the team.
Passersby were thrilled to not only see the robot, but also to see an entirely female portion of the team running the day. The Viking Robotics team also participated in the Girls World Expo in Goshen, N.Y., on Oct. 15, where they demonstrated the robot to girls ages 11-18.
Currently the team is networking, fundraising and preparing for the build season that kicks off in January.
