Mayor endorses Murphy, Van Tassel, Auberger

Character counts. This is why I am endorsing Murphy, Van Tassel and John Auberger for Vernon Council. These candidates have proven records of putting our community before their self-interests. Vernon needs positive change and this will only continue with elected officials who exemplify honesty and integrity. Murphy, Van Tassel and Auberger will work on multiple fronts to continue our progress.
Murphy, Van Tassel and Auberger’s opponents govern contrary to law or “looked the other way” on matters involving their fiduciary duties to protect Township assets, volunteers and employees. They also continue to block this administration’s attempts to bring Vernon forward as promised during my campaign. The opposition conspired to pass an illegal resolution, erase a government record(s), provided benefits including money to personal friends and attempted to block environmental studies on the Masker Marsh. Their actions cannot be tolerated.
Jean Murphy has felt the brunt of our adversaries' ire has she has continually tried to bring about respectability and progress to our municipal government by standing up for the residents and small businesses.
Van Tassel and Auberger are career public servants with unblemished records.
We now have an opportunity to continue our progress and rid our community of self-interest politicians by electing Murphy, Van Tassel and Auberger. All three have a history of serving the public with the community’s interests first.
