Vote for Sally Rinker

I am writing this letter to urge Vernon residents to vote Sally Rinker to the Vernon Town Council on Nov. 7. Beyond doubt, Ms. Rinker is well qualified for the position and has the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to represent the taxpayers of Vernon.
Ms. Rinker will start working for you the moment she is elected, no time needed for a learning curve. Ms. Rinker has extensive knowledge of governmental procedures, best government practice, business development, state statutes, and most important, knowledge of the issues and challenges that face Vernon today.
One thing I know for certain, Ms. Rinker will demand accountability and transparency from fellow council members and the town administration. She will strive for open, honest and ethical government.
Ms. Rinker has many goals, including the development of a “code of conduct” for elected officials. I applaud Ms. Rinker for this and look forward to working with her on this issue, as well as other complex and important issues of our town.
Ms. Rinker wants what most of us want, stable taxes, honest and respectful government, a town we can be proud of, and foremost, a town that thrives.
