Endorsing Sally Rinker for council

| 23 Oct 2017 | 01:32

I am endorsing Sally Rinker for a seat on the Vernon Town Council in the upcoming election. She has the common sense and proven leadership qualities to make a dramatic impact to the people of Vernon Township.
Some of Sally's past experiences and achievements have been: served on Vernon's Council and as Mayor; served on Vernon's Land Use Board, Economic Development Committee, Greenway Committee, Vernon Rotary, Vernon Chamber of Commerce, Vernon's Historical Society and Project Self-Sufficiency's Advisory Council; worked with DEP, DOT, COAH, Local, County and State offices and is the current President of the Vernon Taxpayers Association. Sally Rinker, is and always has been, a strong advocate of Vernon's VFW Post #8441 and has worked tirelessly to preserve their post location.
Sally Rinker is a firm believer in transparency in government and proposes the Council should be publicly discussing and voting on the township's issues and policies. She also advocates for reducing taxes and supports restoring respect to our Emergency Responders and paid certifications for EMS and LOSAP for our Fire Fighters. Sally Rinker wants to form a coalition for our Private Communities to enhance communication with the Township. She will create subcommittees of council members and include the public in workshops that she will spearhead to address major issues as they arise and to institute policy changes. This will give everyone the opportunity to take an active role in our political system and will allow all interested voices to be heard.
Sally Rinker believes there is no room in the county for negative campaigns, gossip, innuendos and politics as usual. She stands firm in her convictions and so can you by electing Sally Rinker for Vernon Town Council. Isn't that the kind of leadership you want for your town government?
VOTE: Sally Rinker for Vernon Town Council, Tuesday, November 7th
