Garden of Life to celebrate 14 years

Garden of Life Massage and Yoga Center is celebrating 14 years of business and wellness this November and will hold on open house on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
There will be free classes in the morning. Massage & energy technique demonstrations and tours of the facility, including their infrared sauna and floatation tank in the afternoon. Throughout the day there will be specials on services, classes, and merchandise, giveaways, and raffles.
Garden of Life takes pride in providing services to assist with improving the lives of their community. At the open house, licensed massage therapists will be available for demos and discussion. Charlene Andrewlavage will be available to speak about how her experience in oncology & mastectomy massage can benefit clients dealing with cancer and the aging process.
Sue Houghton will explain and clients can experience H3 Energy Healing. H3 balances the body, mind and spirit through Divine Earth Energy, auric healing, intuitive, vibrational and visualization healing, aura cleansing, chakra balancing, color, light and sound therapy. Healing takes place at the quantum level (consciousness) where the mind, body and spirit are one.
Mellon Piper has over 30 years experience in massage therapy. She will be demonstrating Anatomy Trains.
Anatomy Trains is a way to view the musculoskeletal system as linked lines (called meridians) of fascial tissue and then determining the patterns formed by the tension or slack in these meridians. Based on what one sees — techniques are used to balance the body's fascial tissue (meridians) giving one freer movement and comfort using less energy. Clients who wish to receive this should wear sports top and short or yoga pants.
Center owner, Dawn Gomez will demonstrate Tuina, Chinese Medical Massage. Tuina works on removing stagnation in the energetic pathways of the body or meridians to clear acute and chronic dysfunction on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
Registered Yoga Teacher, Lisbeth Ryan will provide three classes for all levels of yoga practice. 8:30am Core of Yoga for seasoned practitioners, 10 a.m. Mixed Level Yoga, and 11:30 a.m. Yoga 101 for beginners.
Garden of Life Massage and Yoga Center is available Monday through Saturday for massage therapy, sauna and floatation sessions and retail shopping. Classes are available 7 days a week. In celebration of Garden of Life Massage and Yoga Center's 14 years of wellness and business the center is hosting a special class on Thursday, Nov. 9.
Musician and yoga teacher, Tabitha Booth of Boonton will be returning to Sussex County to perform live music to accompany Dawn Gomez's Restorative Yoga class at 7 p.m. No prior yoga experience is needed. The class will utilize props and gravity to support and open students in yoga poses. Each pose creates a specific physiological response that is beneficial to your health.
In addition to receiving the sound healing while in each pose, Tabitha will tune and guide our voices to connect and open our hearts and minds in the practice of kirtan, call and response.
