Vernon honors final athletes for fall season

VERNON — The Vernon Township Athletic Dept. honored its Athletes of the Week for Week 9 of fall 2017 season.
Senior Kirna Cabrera has made a big impact on the girls cross country team this season as a first year participant.
Kirna finished first for Vernon at the sectional meet this past week at Garrett Mountain.
According to Coach Shenise, Kirna has led the girls in most races this fall through her hard work and dedication. She was a large part of the team’s success this year.
Junior Jadon Mutz has been a consistent two-way player for the Football team this year. He has been one of the top leaders in tackles the last two weeks. He has also scored a touchdown in each of the last two weeks for the Vikings. He has 65 receiving yards from the tight end position over the last two weeks as well.
According to Coach Tepper, Jadon has emerged as one of the leaders for next year’s squad.
