Rolling Hills Primary School is the featured “Art Program of the Month” at the Vernon Board of Education Office.
This display is the first one to be showcased at the office’s new location within the Walnut Ridge Primary School building.
Presented by Art Teacher Joanne Portner, the November art display shares “Personal Logos” that have been designed by third grade students. Portner included concepts such as “symbolism” and “one center of interest compared to many” within the art lesson as instructional elements of design.
Each student drew an object of personal value and then used patterns to create a border and complete the artwork. These individualized logos added personalization to the students’ portfolios, which will be used throughout the school year.
