Vernon police seeking contact information

VERNON — The Vernon Township police department — after a string of burglaries in the township — is requesting contact information for residents whose homes have exterior video security systems.
Police are also seeking residents who will volunteer to provide exterior video surveillance if an incident occurs around the area. Police said the area will be kept confidential and only be used for township police investigations.
Police said the presence of security cameras stopped homes from recently being burglarized.
Anyone willing to provide footage is asked to send an email to cameras@vernonpolice.com with the folliwing information: 1. Address of security cameras; 2. Resident name, contact numbers and email and other pertinent information.
