Libraries to host Nutcracker parties

Nutcracker-themed parties will be held at every branch of the Sussex County Library System from Dec. 11-16.

Children in Kindergarten through grade three will learn the story of the Nutcracker, and listen to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful music while enjoying crafts and snacks.

Dec. 11 — Dennis Branch, 101 Main Street in Newton at 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 12 — Louise Childs Branch, 21 Sparta Road in Stanhope at 4:30 p.m.; Dorothy Henry Branch, 66 Route 94 in Vernon at 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 13 — Sussex-Wantage Branch, 69 Route 639 in Wantage at 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 14 — Franklin Branch, 103 Main Street in Franklin at 4:00 p.m.

Dec. 16 — Main Library, 125 Morris Turnpike in Frankford at 1:00 p.m.

Space is limited to 15 children at each location. Registration is through the Events Calendar link at sussexcountylibrary.org or by calling or visiting your local Branch.
