A slight Christmasey chill in the air made the Vernon Leisure Club Christmas party at Casa Bianca in Oak Ridge, the place to be on Friday, Dec. 1st. With Paul McCartney’s “Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime” and other festive tunes played by DJ Alan Boles in the background, 53 seniors enjoyed a delicious luncheon. Leisure Club President Lorraine Kraus welcomed the group and began the festivities by announcing, “Party Hearty.”

Which is what the partiers did as they danced, sang and grooved to 50s oldies and Christmas songs. A raffle offered beautiful Christmas items and a 50/50 drawing.

New members are always welcome. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Vernon Senior Center.
