Historical society plans holiday open house, sale

The Vernon Township Historical Society invites the public to its annual Holiday Open House and Gift Sale, Sunday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. at its Museum at 293 Route 94 in Vernon.

The event is free and open to the public.

Free refreshments and baked goods will be served. Come here about our many programs and events, including the Western Highlands Scenic Byway the society sponsored through the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

At the same time, the society is also having a liquidation sale that includes furniture, office equipment, appliances, and many other items. For information, call 973-764-6545.

Funding for the Vernon Township Historical Society has been made available in part by the New Jersey Historical Commission, as administered by the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council.
