VTHS students create gardens

VERNON — Vernon Township High School received a $2,000 Sustainable New Jersey Grant to establish vegetable and pollination gardens.
Beginning last spring the students designed, planted and maintained the gardens. This fall, students utilized the produce in a cooking class and donated some of the produce to the local food pantry.
Recently, the students put the gardens to bed for the winter. Students will be expanding the gardens this spring.
