Hilltop fifth graders advance in Spelling Bee

Fifth graders Benjamin Janiszewski and William Antunes, both of Sparta, will represent Hilltop at the annual Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta Spelling Bee on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The students competed against their classmates for several days in oral competition and a written test to determine who the school’s two representatives would be. Hilltop sends representatives to the JWCS Spelling Bee every year. The top three winners will advance to represent Sparta at the regional level.
