VERNON — The Vernon Township School District provides a quality preschool program using Tools of the Mind, a NJ Department of Education approved developmentally appropriate curriculum, for children with and without disabilities. This curriculum infuses theme-based teaching that is aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards. Preschool is offered five days a week during a morning or afternoon session. Vernon residents may enroll children in preschool upon their third birthday. Children must be fully toilet trained to start the program.
The cost is $3,000 per year, payable in 10-month increments of $300 per month. A $50 deposit is required at registration to hold the child's seat in the program.
Children will be placed in morning and afternoon sections based on first-come, first-served. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of openings, a waiting list will be developed.
    Kindergarten
Children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2018, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year. We are encouraging all parents and guardians to enroll their child online as early as possible for district staffing and planning purposes.
