    Charles W. Simpson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Simpson has lived in Sussex County all of his life. He ran a dairy farm in Wantage and had been employed in the accounting department by the former Food City and Food Town Supermarkets in Wantage. He was a devoted member to the Sussex United Methodist Church for the past 70 years and also served on the Fairview Cemetery Association Board. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Trudy” Simpson on April 11, 2017. Mr. Simpson is survived by his son, Scott Simpson and his wife, Karen, of Wantage; his two daughters, Cheri Zeller and her husband John of Penn Yan, New York and Amy Cosh and her husband Ted of Wantage; his sister, Ethel Crane of Florida; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Trudy and Charlie’s life will be held at 12 noon on April 7, 2018 at the Sussex United Methodist Church.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sussex United Methodist Church, 15 Bank Street, Sussex, NJ 07461 or to Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
