Kevin James Flotard, Sr.

Kevin James Flotard, Sr., 62 years old, died unexpectedly at Newton Medical Center on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. Born to George J. and Veronica V. Flotard in Teaneck, N.J, he had lived in Pompton Lakes, N.J., before moving to the Scenic Lakes section of Vernon Twp., N.J., 30 years ago.
Kevin served with the United States Marine Corps and then worked as a service specialist for Public Service Electric and Gas in Oakland, N.J., for 31 years retiring in 2011. Kevin was an exempt member of the Pochuck Valley Fire Department and enjoyed spending free time fishing.
Kevin is the beloved husband of Jacqueline C. Flotard(nee Carrier) of Scenic Lakes, N.J. Devoted father of Whitney A. Wottle and her husband, Jeffrey of Ogdensburg, N.J., Kevin J. Flatierre and his wife, Kristy of Ramsey, N.J., and Daniel P. Flotard and his partner, Lindsay Guiry of Hackettstown, N.J. Dear brother of Brian Flotard and his wife, Maureen of Oak Ridge, NJ and Maureen Bach and her husband, Ludwig of Marlboro, N.J.
The family received their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Pochuck Valley Fire Department service Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, N.J.
