WASHINGTON — Trisha Peterson scored 14 points, leading top-seeded High Point to a 40-35 win over No. 4 Sparta, on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Warren Hills Regional High School the HWS Tournament semifinals.

Margo Peterson and Tyra Wingle scored nine points apiece and Morgan Smolen contributed six points for High Point (19-4).

Erin Walsh led Sparta (14-8) with 18 points and five rebounds.

High Point will play sixth-seeded Delaware Valley Regional High School in the finals scheduled for February 23rd in Sparta.
